Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Melonba Public School as we begin our inaugural year at our permanent site in 2025. Our world-class facilities will support outstanding learning opportunities.
We proudly acknowledge that Melonba sits on Dharug land, honouring its rich history of storytelling and learning. Together, we will connect, collaborate, and grow.
As the foundation principal, I am excited to lead a dedicated team committed to fostering a love of learning and helping every student reach their potential. Our core values—Be Kind and Work Hard—will guide us in creating a nurturing, inclusive environment focused on resilience, character, and well-being.
We have a strong partnership with Melonba High School and look forward to working together to prepare students for a world of opportunities.
Building a vibrant community is key. Meeting many families during learning conferences has helped us tailor the best learning experiences for each child.
I warmly invite all families to join us in shaping a school culture where everyone can learn, belong, and thrive. Many wonderful memories lie ahead for our students, staff, and community.
Larissa Maraga,
Foundation Principal of Melonba Public School
